Abstract

PURPOSE:To assure the high veiwing performance for a noctovision device, by using the liquid crystal. CONSTITUTION:The beams reflected from a target object 1 and the background are formed into an image on a fiber plate surface 7 of an image intensifier 3. This image is transmitted to a photoelectric surface 8 through a fiber 11. The photoelectrons radiated from the surface 8 are accelerated and focused by an electrode 9 and then redoubled by a microchannel secondary electron redoubling tube 10 to hit against a mosaic electrode surface 12. The prscribed voltage of a liquid crystal power supply 13 is applied between the electrode 12 and a transparent electrode 15 which hold the liquid crystal 14 via a switch 21. At the same time, the parallel beams are projected from a liquid crystal projector 17. Thus the observation 6 is performed via an eyepiece 5 to ensure the high viewing performance.
