Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture a synthetic paper without faulty appearance due to chalking by biaxially stretching an unstretched tubular film having a specific ratio of yield point strength in the longitudinal direction to that in the crosswise direction along a drawing mandrel while keeping it tubular form. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic resin is mixed with 10-80wt% (W) inorganic filler. And, an unstretched tubular film having a ratio (X) of the yield point strength in the longidutinal direction to that in crosswise direction of 90/W<=X<= 240/W, obtained from the load-elongation curves for longitudinal and crosswise directions, measured at stretching temperature, is biaxially stretched along the drawing mandrel of a conical base inserted into the unstretched tubular film while keeping its tubular form by a mandrel stretching method.
