Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture a biaxially stretched film continuously and stably by stretching an unstretched tubular film made of a thermoplastic resin and having a specific yield point strength ratio in the longitudinal direction, obtained a load- elongation curve, by a mandrel stretching method. CONSTITUTION:An unstretched tubular film, having a yield point strength ratio XM in the longitudinal direction of 1<=XM<=1.25, obtained from the load-elongation curves in the longitudinal direction, measured at stretching temperature, and showing a load-elongation curve in which load is increased as elongation is increased below the yield point of the curve, is biaxially stretched by along the stretching mandrel of a conical base inserted into the unstretched tubular film while keeping its tubular form by a mandrel stretching method.
