Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve an anti-chemical property, a heat resistance, and a mechanical quality, by a method wherein an unstretched tube made from given polyester mixture is kept at a given temperature, and the tube is stretched by a given ratio in longitudinal and lateral directions by feeding with pressure a gaseous matter into the tube. CONSTITUTION:An unstretched tube is molded from a mixture of 10-80wt% of polyester copolymer and 90-20wt% of polyethylene terephthalate, said polyester copolymer being made from 95-65wt% of terephtalate acid, 5-35wt% of isophthalic acid and ethylene glicol. A tube temperature at a start point of stretching is kept at 80-95 deg.C, and a tube temperature at a terminal point of stretching is kept at 5-20 deg.C lower than that at the start point of stretching. With this gas is pressedly fed into the tube, and the film is stretched 2.5 times or more in a radial direction. It is then loosened by 0.5-15% in an axial direction at 70-85 deg.C, and simultaneously, is re-stretched by 1-20% in the radial direction to produce the beat shrinkable tube.
