Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect an overrun amount of a work and enable to move the work backward by a distance equal to the overrun amount by counting the number of pulse signals which are generatecd after the work comes into contact with a detecting part of a positioning jig and before the work is actually stopped. CONSTITUTION:When the work 16 comes into contact with the detecting part 8, a work detection signal SW is changed from H-level to L-level, and from the time of the trailing edge of the input signal SW, a one-shot multivibrator circuit 12 feeds an output signal SO with a fixed pulse width to a counter 18. The counter 18 counts the number of the pulse signals SP generated after the contact ing of the work 16 and the detecting part 8, and feeds an overrun signal SR to an overrun indicator 28. The operator operates a manual feed handle 52 so as to move the work backward by the overrun amount indicated on the indicator 28. Accordingly, the positioning of the positioning jig and the work can be carried out easily, speedily and accurately.
