Abstract
PURPOSE: To accomplish work of positioning in high precision, with a widely shortening of the time accomplished as well, by making a high velocity feed applyable for positioning in a place with a contact piece contacted to the reference level, in a numberically controlled machine tool.
CONSTITUTION: With a coil 16 energized by an AC power source 18, a current is induced in a closed loop pattern secondary circuit 15 by a contact between a reference hole 10 constructed in the side of a pallel 9 and a contact piece 11. Here with this induced current detected by a contact detecting circuit 17, a contact detection between the reference hole 10 and the contact piece 11 is operated in a highly sensitive and stable manner, and the work of positioning is made by stopping a feed at the position with a contact detected. And an approaching work is operated by a high velocity feed, with a high velocity feed stopped by a first contact detection, as well as with a slight amount of backward movement made to place with non-contact again provided, subsequently with an approaching feed again started at a fine velocity, the work of positioning is finally performed by a second contact detection with a feed motion stopped.
