Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform copying of machining without having cutting-in, by comparing present postion coordinates of a tracer with its past inflexion point coordinates and applying the past inflexion point coordinates as approximate present inflexion coordinates for the present cycle.
CONSTITUTION: A memory storage E stores the position of the inflexion point of the model shape of a model curved face by feeding back an output signal from a detection mechansim C to detect the position of a tracer A for copying. This memory storage E consists of a memory storage 13 of present inflexion point to store inflexion point coordinates of each cycle, and a memory storage 14 of past inflexion point to store inflexion coordinates in the previous cycle output from the device 13, and a comparison circuit 16. The comparison circuit 16 compares present position coordinates and past inflexion point coordinates of the tracer, and applies the past inflexion point coordinates as approximate present cycle inflexion point coordinates, and issues signals to control copying at points in the coordinates at a most suitable speed without cutting-in.
