Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable no-tension control of a rolled stock in a tandem rolling mill by regulating the speed of the rolling mill using a tension detecting device provided with a rolling torque storage circuit and a no-tension rolling torque main storage circuit. CONSTITUTION:In a tandem rolling mill, no-tension rolling torque G0 is stored at a fixed sampling interval in a rolling torque storage circuit 31 of a rolling torque main storage circuit 12. By inputting plural no-tension rolling torque storage values Goi to a no-tension rolling torque selection circuit 32, an arbitrary value of tehm is selected as a value to be adopted as tension rolling torque GOM for detecting tension. This is inputted to a tension rolling torque holding circuit 33, and GOM between two sets of rolling stand is outputted to a no-tension rolling torque difference arithmetic device 13. At this time, tension of the rolled stock between two rolling stands is detected from difference between GOM and rolling torque GR at the time of tandem rolling, and the rolled stock is controlled in a no-tension state through a speed correction signal circuit.
