Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily obtain a hard copy with a simple constitution and without causing any waste, by detecting a variable setting element which is set by a display device and setting the variable element of the hard copy based on the above-mentioned detected variable setting element. CONSTITUTION:A video signal VIDEO is applied to a contrast setter 11, and a synchronous signal H-V is applied to a brightness setter 13. Thus, the optimum contrast and brightness are obtained for a picture by both settes 11 and 13, and such picture is displayed on a CRT12. Each of these setters is constituted with a coupling 2-throw variable resister, and the voltage applied across the resistor is extracted by a variable resistor. This extracted set value is converted into a digital form through an A/D converters 14 and 15 to be supplied to a hard copy device. The output that is variably set by a display device is applied to coefficient circuits 18 and 19 of the copy device to be multiplied by a prescribed coefficient, and the control value receives an analog conversion through D/A converters 20 and 21. Then the proper picture quality is obtained through gain controllers 22 and 23, and a hard copy is obtained by a heat developing device 17.
