Abstract

PURPOSE: To earily and industrially obtain a pigment with good dispersibility to a substrate, by adding a cationic surfactant or a cationic polymeric compd. to a soln. of an anionic polymeric compd. in water or an alcohol after dispersion of an org. pigment.
CONSTITUTION: About 1W10wt%, pref. 2W5wt%, based on a pigment, anionic compd. or mixt. of at least two anionic compounds is added to water or an alcoholic soln. and completely dissolved at 20W60°C. After the resulting soln. is mixed with the pigment with agitation, a soln. of a cationic surfactant or cationic polymeric compd. in an amt. excess to the anionic compd. is added to coat the surface of the pigment firmly with the reaction product. The pigment to the used is iron oxide, prussian blue, titanium oxide, talc, erythrosine aluminum lake, Lithol Rubine BCA, etc.
