PURPOSE:To improve heating and defroster rise performance by circulating a heat transmission medium between an intra-car-room heat exchanger and an outer air heat exchanger and between it and an engine exhaust heat exchanger, respectively, and forming a cooling and heating circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a selection valve 18 is set to cooling, a solenoid valve 46 is closed. The pressurized heat transmission medium of a compressor 8 circulates through paths 24 and 26, condenser 30, receiver 32, solenoid valve 34, path 48, intra-room heat exchanger 10, and path 16 and a cooling circuit is formed. Besides, when the selection valve 18 is set to heating, the solenoid valve 34 is closed. The pressurized heat transmission medium of the compressor 8 passes through the path 16, intra-room heat exchanger 10, and a path 48, enters an evaporator 42, absorbs the heat discharged from an engine, circulates through a heating path 28, accumulator 44, and the insertion section of a solenoid valve 46, and forms a the heating circuit. As a result of this structure, heating and defroster rise performance can be improved.
