Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable simultaneous feeding of cool air and warm air by a method wherein a heat exchanger for evaporation and a heat exchanger for air-cooled condensation are provided in the heat exchanging chamber of the air conditioner and the air exchanging the heat with both heat exchangers is utilized for air conditioning.
CONSTITUTION: The heat exchangers 3 and 4 for evaporation and air-cooled condensation are provided with a partition 2 between them within the heat exchanging chamber of the air conditioner 1. A refrigerant of high temperature and high pressure discharged from a compressor 7 radiates heat, in the heat exchanger 4 for air- cooled condensation, to the air being drawn from a suction port 10 by a blower 6 for warm air and is condensed and liquefied. Then it is decompressed by an expansion valve 9, evaporates in the heat exchanger 3 for evaporation, while absorbing heat from the air drawn from a suction port 11 by a blower 5 for cool air, becomes the vaporized refrigerant of low temperature and low pressure and returns to the compressor 7, thus forming a refrigerating cycle. By this, cooling and heating can be conducted by one air conditioner simultaneously.
