PURPOSE:To indicate an alarm and to stop a motor at trouble by inexpensive means by indicating the alarm when a motor current detection signal reaches an alarm level at the overcurrent flowing time and opening an electromagnetic contactor to stop the motor when a breaking level reaches the overcurrent. CONSTITUTION:A current signal for each motor 1 detected via each current transformer 4 and each current converter 6 is inputted to the input unit 7 of a motor scanning device A and is converted into a voltage signal. The BCD code for each motor 1 is sequentially produced at the prescribed times through a span controlling analog controller 8, a multiplexer 9 and a BCD code converting analog/digital converter 10. The BCD code of each motor 1 is compared with an alarm and a breaking value of the setting unit 14 under control of an arithmetic controller 11, and when they reach their values, an alarm command and a breakage command are produced to the signal driver 16 of an indicator 15, an alarm indication signal is outputted to an indicator 17 with the alarm command signal, an electromagnetic contactor 3 is opened by the breakage command signal, and the motor 1 is stopped.
