Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform overcurrent detection by setting to be operated automatically without any adjustment even at the changing of load constitution by storing a voltage drop value of the time when load current reaches to the steady state at every turning on of a power source and comparing the same with the voltage drop value which is being measured at all times. CONSTITUTION:When a power source is turned on, a relay 11 operates to apply an input voltage to a DC power source 1. After a certain time, steady load current flows. A voltage drop is produced between a DC power source 1 and load 2 by this steady load current, and this is inputted to an A/D converter 7 via an amplifier 5, and a filter 6. The voltage drop value (e) digitized by the converter 7 is inputted to a memory 8. The output of the memory 8 is sent to a D/A converter 9, and is converted to an analog value, after which it is inputted to one of a comparator 10. On the other hand, the voltage drop which is being monitored at all times by a detecting electric wire 4 is applied to the other of the comparator 10 through the amplifier 5 and the filter 6. By the timing of sampling pulses, both inputs are compared and if they exceed a set value, an abnormal signal 15 is emitted.
