Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a pin-type transformer of good quality in a short period of time, by hardening surface layer of resin compound, which has such a characteristic as to be hardened by being exposed to light, by radiation of ultraviolet rays and heating it so that the inside becomes hardened. CONSTITUTION:In the case of manufacturing of a pin-type transformer measuring 41X33mm. and having a core thickness of 13mm., the pin is treated with wax, and then, a transformer is soaked in a varnish of a prescribed composition. After having been pulled out from the varnish, it is exposed to radiation of ultraviolet rays by a mercury lamp 5 to harden surface layer of the resin component which has such a characteristic as to be hardened when exposed to light, and then, it is heated to harden inside of the component. It is possible, by doing so, to manufacture in a short processing time a pin-type transformer of good appearance and performance without allowing the varnish to adhere to the pin.
