Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a timer circuit serve as a means for securing the starting of a fan motor of the captioned air conditioner. CONSTITUTION:A thermo-circuit 1, a cooling-heating changeover switch 11, an inversion circuit 17 and the timer circuit 19 are provided in the air conditioner. The thermo-circuit 1 includes a room temperature detecting thermister 2, a temperature adjusting variable resistor 3, a noise preventive timing circuit and a comparator 9 generating in both heating and cooling operations the same output logical value based on the room temperature; the inversion circuit 17 is provided at the output stage of the comparator 9 and adopted to invert the output logical value of the comparator through the changeover switch 11; and the timer circuit 19 is provided with a timing circuit larger in capacity than the thermo-circuit 1. Further, the inversion circuit 17 and the timer circuit 19 are connected to the input side of an inhibiting circuit 18 and a compressor drive relay 21 is connected to the output stage of the circuit 18 through a driver 20. With the above circuit arrangement, when, immediately after a power supply, the inhibiting operation of the inhibiting circuit 18 is effected by the timer circuit 19 until the output logical value of the thermo-circuit 1 is stabilized, the operation of the compressor is inhibited.
