Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent an indoor heat exchanger from freezing, by providing the air conditioner with a thermo circuit for putting out a low temperature signal, a timer circuit inhibiting a driving signal for a certain period and a driving circuit for controlling energization.
CONSTITUTION: A thermo circuit 14 is composed of a thermistor 8 for sensing the temperature of an indoor heat exchanger, comparator 12 composing a bridge together with resistors 9, 10, 11 and putting the output in itself, etc. A timer circuit 24 acturates a transistor 17 through a current limiting resistor 16, using output of the thermo circuit 14 as one input and output of another comparator 18 as another input for its NAND gate 15, and controls the drivig signal of a driving circuit 25 together with the comparator 18. The drivig circuit 25 limits the current of a driving circuit 25 together with the comparator 18. The driving signal of a driving circuit 25 limits the current of a driving signal from the transistor 17 by means of a resistor 16, energizes the base of a transistor 27, controls a relay 7 and controls power fed to a compressor motor 5, which prevents the indoor heat exchanger from freezing.
