Abstract

PURPOSE:To compensate the difference in original background and fluctuation in power supply voltage, by controlling a lamp based on the difference between an original reflected light intensity and power supply voltage. CONSTITUTION:An effective voltage value of a power supply 31 is obtained by rectifying the power supply voltage at a dummy load circuit 33 and a wave shape circuit 34. On the other hand, the reflected light intensity from a lamp from an original is detected at a photo detector 22, the deviation from the standard value is calculated at an automatic reference voltage generating circuit 37, the upper limit is cut at a limit circuit 39 so that no excessive power is given to the lamp, to obtain an original background density signal. The difference between this signal and the said power supply voltage effective value is obtained at an error amplifier 40. Based on it, the output of the lamp 2 is adjusted by controlling the conduction angle of a thyristor 32 at a trigger pulse generating circuit 41.
