Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain good latent images with virtually no influence of the change in beam intensity despite the occurrence of said change by detecting the intensity of a light beam and controlling the applied voltage of a simultaneous destaticizer in correspondence to the output thereof. CONSTITUTION:A mirror 15 is provided on the outside of an image region, and the reflected beam thereof is entered to a control circuit 17 via a beam detector 16. In the circuit 17, the applied voltage to a simultaneous destaticizer 7 is controlled by a high voltage transformer generating the high voltage to be applied to the destaticizer 7 in accordance with the photoelectric conversion output of a detector 16. Thereby, the area where the potential of a bright part hardly changes despite the change in beam intensity is increased, and the ordinary change in beam intensity is made least influential. Therefore, in spite of a change in beam output, good latent images are formed with virtually no influence thereof.
