PURPOSE:To form high quality molds easily by heat-forming of preforming material which is obtained from a polymer of polyhydroxybutadiene with hydrogen additive and a mixture of an isocyanate compound and dimer-2,4-toluenedisocyanate. CONSTITUTION:Thermosetting molding material 30 is adequately vacuum-defoamed in a vacuum stirrer 21 at a temperature of its melting point or above, and then poured into a metallic pattern for preforming 22. An upper half and a lower half molds can be obtained after cooled down to room temperature and removed from the metallic pattern. In this process, the polymer of polyhydoxybutadiene with hydrogen additive is used as a main agent for the molding material 30. As a hardening agent, the mixture of the isocyanate compound represented by the formulaIas general formula and dimer-2,4-toluenedisocyanate represented by the formula 2 as general formula.
