Abstract
PURPOSE:To mold an article having a foamed layer by using only one molding machine by a method wherein a molten resin containing a foaming agent is injected into a mold the interior of which is pressurized with an inert gas, and then a slide core is retracted to reduce the pressure. CONSTITUTION:A cavity mold 3 and a core mold 4 are clamped to each other, the slide core mold 5 is advanced to project into the cavity 6, and then an inert gas is charged into the cavity 6 at a pressure sufficiently high to prevent the foaming of the resin injected into the cavity 6. Then, while gradually discharging the inert gas, the molten resin 10 containing the foaming agent is injected into the cavity 6, and when a skin layer is formed at the part contacting with the mold, the inside molten part of the resin is foamed by retractong the slide core mold 5. Accordingly, a molded article having a foamed layer can be obtained easily and by a smaller number of steps unsing only one molding machine.
