Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the slip of a drive wheel and powr loss by controlling a selection valve for a four-wheel drive hydraulic pressure servo using the front and rear wheel governor pressure which responds to the wheel speed and automatically switching the two-or four-wheel drive depending upon the front and rear speed. CONSTITUTION:A front wheel governor valve 110 generates governor pressure depending upon the number of revolutions of a front wheel and a rear wheel governor valve 210 generates the rear wheel governor pressure. Both governor pressures are guided to a selection valve 220. The selection valve 220 connects a bfour-wheel drive hydraulic pressure servo 82A to a line pressure oil path 104 or oil discharge port 225. Thus, when there is a difference exceeding a preset one in the number of revolutions of the front and rear wheels, the four-wheel drive is automatically used and the slip of a drive wheel is reduced. Besides, at the good path travel where there are few difference in the number of revolutions, the two-wheel drive is used and unnecessary power loss is eliminated.
