Abstract
PURPOSE:To miniaturize an apparatus and to obtain quality steam, by directly contacting, in a duct, droplets of a molten salt with a high temperature waste gas from a chemical plant or the like to permit the molten salt to absorb the heat, and conducting the molten salt into a heat exchange tank where the molten salt is subjected to heat exchange with a heat carrier. CONSTITUTION:The high temperature waste gas A introduced into a waste gas duct 1 is conducted into a molten salt tank 15 where it is directly contacted with the molten salt 14 that has been scattered from molten salt scattering nozzles 13 as droplets, and the heat of the gas is radiated to the molten salt 14. Then the gas is passed through a demister 17 to be exhausted (B). The molten salt 14 that has absorbed heat is passed via a piping 16 to the heat exchange tank 11 where it heats water in a vapor generating pipe 2 to evaporate it. The molten salt 11 is pumped up by a pump 12 to be recycled. Thus, quality steam can be obtained using a waste gas heat.
