Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid frequent starting and stopping of a refrigerating machine that utilizes the atmosphere as a heat source to supply hot water, by running the refrigerating machine in the case the atmospheric temperature is not less than a prescribed temperature, and if water temperature at the inlet side of a use side heat exchanger has fallen below a prescribed temperature. CONSTITUTION:A hot water supplier comprises a heat pump 2 having a heat source side heat exchanger 2c and the use side heat exchanger 2f and a hot water reservoir 1 that is connected via pipings 3, 4 with said use side heat exchanger 2f. The hot water supplier is provided with a temperature detector 7 which detects that the water temperature of the hot water reservoir 1 has dropped to a prescribed temperature T1 to initiate the operation of a circulating pump 5, and also issues a command for operating the heat pump 2, and further is provided with a temperature detector 8 which detects that the inlet side temperature of the heat exchanger 2f has dropped to a prescribed temperature T2 that is lower than said temperature T1 to issue a command for operating the heat pump 2. It is further provided with a temperature detector 9 that starts the operation of the refrigerating machine with the proviso that when the atmospheric temperature is not less than a prescribed temperature, a command for operating the heat pump 2 has been issued from the temperature detectors 7, 8, etc.
