Abstract

PURPOSE:To control an air conditioner so as to reduce the cost for the operation, by comparing an absolute humidity of a mixed air of fresh air and circulated air with a range of tolerable absolute humidity, and calculating the cost for the blowing, cooling, humidifying, etc. based on the compared result. CONSTITUTION:An air conditioner having a cold water coil 3 for cooling, a vapor coil 4 for heating, and a humidifier 5 is controlled by a digital controller 20. Outputs of temperature sensors 14a, 16a, and humidity sensors 14b, 16b for fresh air and circulated air are inputted into the controller 20 where an absolute humidity of a mixed air with a minimum amount of fresh air which is determined from these outputs and a mixing ratio of fresh air to circulating air is compared with a tolerable absolute humidity range that is provided from a tolerable humidity range for a set room temperature tp at an intersection of a sensible heat factor line with a saturated vapor curve. Based upon the compared result, an air supply condition where the total of the cost is minimum is calculated to control dampers 1a-1c, control valves 3a-5a and air volume controlling units 8a, 9a.
