Abstract
PURPOSE: To control the average position of a loop at a fixed position constantly in a continuous strip processing installation and the like by controlling the position of the loop to be changed by the periodical speed change of an exit roll on the basis of its average value.
CONSTITUTION: The position of a loop changing periodically is detected by photo-sensors 41 and 42 for outputting a voltage proportional to the position of the loop. The sinusoidal wave voltage outputted by an angle detector 43 is regulated in its amplitude to be the same and in its phase angle to be 180° deviated from the output wave from of the light-receiver 42. When this output is added to the output of the light-receiver 42 by a loop position error detector 44, the error of the average position of the loop from a command can be detected. This output voltage, that is, an acceleration compensation signal 45 is given to a speed control device 15. When the average position of the loop is higher than the command, a loop entrance roll 11 is controlled for acceleration. When lower, it is controlled for deceleration.
