Abstract
PURPOSE:To test the laser range measuring device accurately by delaying the output light of the laser range measuring device by a pulse delaying circuit, and returning the light to said laser range measuring device. CONSTITUTION:The large pulse irradiated from a transmitting telescope 2 of the laser range measuring device B passes a condenser lens 7 and a filter 8, and is received by a light receiving element 11. The large pulses is converted into the electrical pulses and applied to a delay circuit 11. The pulse is delayed in said circuit by a specified time, and thereafter applied to a light emitting element 13, when the electrical pulse is corrected into the optical pulse. The pulse is converted by a condenser lens 14 and inputted to a receiving telescope 3 of the laser range measuring device B. The delay time t1 of the circuit 1 is set to the time corresponding to the range R1 to be tested, so that the equation t1= 2CR1 (where C is light velocity) is established. When the laser range measuring device B is operated, the range R1 is displayed on a range display 6. If the correct range R1 is not displayed on said display 6, it is judged that the laser range measuring device is defective.
