Abstract
PURPOSE: To put to practical use the titled apparatus which is capable of accommodating a large amount of solid fuel in its narrow area of installation by a method wherein a plurality of fuel receiving boxes are connected to one another like a belt conveyer and a fuel supply port formed in a lower passage for the receiving boxes is connected to the combustion furnace.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel supply port 7 is made to open in the lower passage in which the receiving boxes 6 connected to one another in a belt conveyer fashion move. The groove of the receiving boxes 6 are transferred at low speed by the rotation of a chain 8 effected by a motor 12 through a transmission mechanism including a reducing gear 11. In this case, the motor 12 is controlled, for example, in proportion to the output of a temperature senser 13 attached to the combustion furnace 5. The upper portion of each of the receiving boxes 6 is open as at 15 and a cover 17 is pivotally attached to the opening 15 of the receiving box by means of a hinge 18 at the front edge of the opening 15 in the progressing direction of the box. With the above structure, when the cover 17 comes into contact with the inner surface of a guide case 16, the opening 15 of the receiving box is closed by the cover 17, while when the box 6 is turned over and reaches the fuel supply port 7, the fuel 3 is fallen into the combustion furnace 5 from the fuel supply port 7 due to the spontaneous opening of the cover 17.
