Abstract

The electromagnetic valve 4 receives the control signal S and operates an actuator 103 for giving an difference of rotational phase between the first member 101 in one body with an input shaft 2 and the second member 102 in one body with an output shaft 3 connected to an fuel injection pump P. On the basis of this difference of rotational phase, an angle of lead is set in the second member 102 to minimize the amount of bad-smelling substances in exhaust gas.
