Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate torque variation in a DC brushless motor by digitally operating the relation of the relative position between the magnetic pole of a rotor and armature coils and the magnitude of exciting currents for the generation of predetermined torques for each armature coil. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic circuit 4 calculates the relation of the relative position between the magnetic pole of a rotor LM and armature coils L1, L2 from the rotation angle detection output of the rotor LM in a shaft encoder 2 and reads the value of magnetic flux density Bgm in the positions of the armature coils L1, L2 from a memory circuit 3. Next, the magnitude of exciting currents ID1, ID2 required for generating desired torques T1, T2 shown in graph (b) is calculated by referring to the value of the magnetic flux density Bgm and that of a control signal Ea and the exciting currents are sent to power amplifiers 5, 6. The power amplifiers 5, 6 perform pulse width modulation for the exciting currents ID1, ID2 in accordance with the digital signal supplied form the arithmetic circuit 4 to supply the exciting currents ID1, ID2 to the armature coils L1, L2.
