Abstract

PURPOSE:To make color balance constant, and to eliminate scattering of image quality in successive copying, by forming color images consisting of each color image on the same image-forming region of an image-bearing drum in the case of forming the same color image in reproduction of successive color images. CONSTITUTION:In color copying using a photosensitive drum, at the first rotation of the drum an optical system moves forward and backward on faces A, B to execute transfer of a yellow image on the face A, and no operation on the face B; on the face A of the second rotation, the optical system moves forward and a magenta image is transferred, and on the face B, same as the first; thus, the face A is always used for image formation, and in and after the second copy, these procedures do not change. Likewise in the case of copying in size A4 or B4, the same color copying is done on the same position of the photosensitive drum, thus permitting copying stable in color reproduction to be executed at comparatively high speed only by simple sequential processing without addition of any apparatus.
