Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain planographic plates capable of providing prints with image quality similar to that attained by the offset printing by a construction wherein non-drawing portions formed of wet receiving materials are provided on the surface of an elastic member having its surface layer with lipophilic characteristics.
CONSTITUTION: an elastic member 2 having its surface with lipophilic characteristics is applied on a support 1 formed of metals or so such as alumium to form an elastic layer with a given thickness. A non-drawing portion 3 formed of wet receiving materials is formed thereon. Wet 4 is supplied on the non- drawing portion 3, while ink 5 is supplied on the exposed lipophilic surface of the slastic member 2. By so doing, it becomes possible to smoothly form an ink film to be transferred onto paper or the like in a usual manner.
