Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve excellent recording and reproducing, by eliminating the effect due to unbalance of gap between a recording medium and a turntable, through coating a conductor film at the back of a semiconductor base of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A conductor film 9 is coated at the back of a semiconductor substrate 2 of a recording medium 1 with vapor deposition of aluminum film, and the film is fixed to a turntable 5 with a metallic fixture 10. Thus, even if the gap between the medium 1 and the turntable 5 is not uniform, the back side of the substrate 2 is kept to the same potential, the electric field distribution in the medium 1 by a recording signal voltage 7 is not subject to the gap, allowing to make excellent recording with high reproducibility. Further, at playback, since the electrostatic capacitance detected at a reproduction circuit is less in the effect of unbalanced gap, excellent reproduction can be made.
