Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve reliability and flexibility while decreasing the number of terminals of an input and output interface element, by supplying an interruption input signal to an interruption-input-signal processing circuit and a reading means through one terminal provided to the interface element. CONSTITUTION:An input signal processing circuit 20 which is packaged in an input and output interface element and supplies an interruption discrimination signal to a central arithmetic processor CPU1 in response to an arrival interruption input signal consists of signal detectors 22 and 122, output holders 23 and 123, and a signal adder 24. Then, said processing circuit 20 and CPU1 are connected in parallel to a terminal 31. The CPU is further connected to the terminal 31 through a high-resistance buffer 26. Then when an interruption discrimination signal is supplied to the CPU1, an interruption program is executed. At prescribed timing, the level of an interruption input signal IIS is read to discriminate whether it is at a level H or not. When not, it is judged that the signal IIS falls from the level H to an L, and interruption processing is performed to return control to an original program.
