Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure accurately the position of a moving body, by combining a sound wave transponder mounted on the moving body and a fixed sound wave transmitter/receiver. CONSTITUTION:A sound wave transponder 1 mounted on an unmanned car receives a sound wave of frequency f1 and transmits the sound wave of frequency f2 respectively. On the other hand, the sound wave transmitters and receivers 21-2n transmit the sound wave of the f1 and receives the sound wave of the f2 respectively. These transmitters and receivers are distributed in <=3 units and at different positions where the unmanned car is able to directly viewed. Then each transmitter/receiver transmits the sound wave of f1 and receives the sound wave of f2 respectively by an instruction given from a CPU3. This received signal is applied to a timepiece 5 to count the time intervals from transmission to reception. The CPU3 calculates the position of the unmanned car based on the three data of the timepiece 5. In such way, the position of a moving body is accurately measured.
