Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform the automatic measurement of distance with a high speed and high accuracy, by scanning a subject of measurement with the light flux via a deflecting element and detecting the angle of deflection of the luminous flux when the output of the photodetector set at the image forming surface of an image formed by a lens. CONSTITUTION:A deflecting element 4 is driven by a deflection driving power supply 5 consisting of a rectangular wave oscillating circuit 51 and an integral network 52, and a subject 6 of measurement is scanned by the luminous flux given from a laser 3. The output of a photoelectric detector 2 set on an image forming surface FF' of the image of the subject 6 formed by a lens 1 is supplied to a counter 9 with a peak signal through a peak detecting circuit 8. While the output of the oscillator 51 is differentiated by a differentiating circuit 7 and then applied to the counter 9 as a deflection scanning start signal. Thus the count of pulses is started for a clock oscillator 10 and continued until the peak pulse is supplied from the circuit 8. Based on this count of pulses, an angle of deflection is calculated by an operator 11 to obtain the distance. In such way, a distance is automatically measured in a high speed and high accuracy.
