Abstract
PURPOSE:To hinder influence of the freezing expansion of soil on the surrounding ground by arranging a subheat fence at the shoulder of the inside of heat fence and thereby checking the frozen soil to grow by this subheat fence. CONSTITUTION:Heat fences 2 are arranged around an underground tank 1 at a certain spacing to be inserted in the ground in the plumb direction to a depth corresponding to the bottom of the tank. Also subheat fences 4 are arranged surrounding the tank 1 in the same manner as heat fences 2 at the shoulder 3 formed around the underground tank 1 to be inserted in the ground to a depth of approx. 10m. Warm water circulates in the heat fences 2, 4 and checks growth of the frozen soil layer a by heating with its heat.
