Abstract

PURPOSE: To recover retained heat effectively and obtaind a nonadsorbed component gas of low temp. easily by dividing the nonadsorbed gas to a high temp. part and a low temp. part and subjecting the low temp. gas to heat exchanging with mixed gases in separation and the like of N2 and O2 in air.
CONSTITUTION: Raw material air is passed through a booster 28 and heat exchangers 29, 40, whereby it is boosted and cooled. This air is supplied into an adsorption tower 1, where the O2 which is an easy-to-adsorb component is adsorbed. The N2 which is a nonadsorbed component is removed therefrom and is fed as a refrigerant into the heat exchanger 29. The N2 of low temp. is fed into a vortex tube 50, where it is devided to N2 of high temp. and N2 of low temp. The N2 of low temp. is fed as a refrigerant to the heat exchanger 40, where it is heat exchanged with air. The N2 raised of temp. is fed to a main transfer pipe 54. The separated N2 of high temp. is also fed to the pipe 54. During this time, a desorption process is executed in an adsorption tower 2.
