Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent occurrences of heat streaks without lowering the rolling efficiency and increasing consumption of the rolling mill oil, by performing the bright rolling at the final rolling stand after performing the dull rolling in the course of the bright rolling of cold rolled steel sheets.
CONSTITUTION: In a course of a bright rolling of cold rolled steel sheets with a tandem rolling mill, the surface roughness of steel sheets to be rolled is roughened by performing dull rollings on them by at least ≥1 rolling stands except the final rolling stand, and the bright rolling is performed at the final rolling stand. When this procedure is applied, heat streaks can be prevented with a simple method without sacrificing the high rolling reduction and the high speed rolling.
