Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of output at the innermost circumference, by providing an arm so that the azimuth angle of a magnetic head to each track is sought with a rotating locus smaller toward the innermost track. CONSTITUTION:A track region E is formed on a disc 1 surfaces, E2 shows the outermost circumference and E3 indicates the innermost circumferential track. An access mechanism 7 consists of a fulcrum 8, access arm 9, plate spring 10 and magnetic head 11. The plate 10 presses the magnetic head 11 on a disc surface of the magnetic head 1 with a prescribed force. The magnetic head 11 has a head core 12 forming a gap (g) at the center of one end, and a plurality of skis 13... at the lower surface to obtain a floating force. The access arm 9 seeks with a rotating locus F in which the azimuth angle of the magnetic head 11 to each track is smaller toward the innermost circumferential track E3. Thus, the output at the innermost circumferential track is increased, the device is made smaller in size, and the high density track is progressed.
