CONSTITUTION:The end part in the inner peripheral side of a usable area W of a discoid medium 11 is set as a CSS area B1 of the medium, and a thin film magnetic head element 13 in the outer peripheral side is used as the magnetic head. Consequently, since the information recording density is reduced and the medium speed for information processing is raised because an information using area A1 is in the outer peripheral side of the usable area W, the output resolving power is improved.
