Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to reduce wear of a center carbon by securing an electric wave noise reducing material and a wear free metallic material to a protrusive part of an insulator of a rotor unit, in a distributor having a rotor electrode linked to a crank shaft. CONSTITUTION:A rotor electrode 3 consists of a metallic material 31 which is hard to wear a center carbon and an electric wave noise reducing material 32 made of ferrite. On the other hand, positioning grooves 12 and 13 and fixing rivets 14 and 15 for the matericals 31 and 32 are formed on an insulator 4, and a step 16 is provided on the material 32 on which the material 31 is overlapped. Because of the step 16 the materials 31 and 32 are secured by a crimp of rivets 14 and 15 so that the materical 31 becomes above the material 32. It is, therefore, possible to reduced wear of the center carbon 9 and prevent generation of an electric wave noise as the material 32 constitutes spark discharge part with a side electrode 7.
