Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to reduce wear of a center carbon by connecting an electric wave noise reducing material and a wear free metallic material with a protrusive part of an insulator of a rotor unit, in a captioned distributor having a rotor electrode linked to a crank shaft. CONSTITUTION:A rotor electrode 3 consists of a metallic material 31 which is hard to wear a center carbon and an electric wave noise reducing material 32 made of a ferrite. On the other hand, grooves 12 and 13 and protrusions 14 are provided on an insulator 4 to position and secure the materials 31 and 32, upon connection of the materials 31 and 32 with the protrusions 14 the protrusions 14 are crimped by a ultrasonic wave for securing the materials 31 and 32 to the insulator 4 and the materials 31 and 32 are secured so as to allow electrical connection between them by a step 15 between them. It is, therefore, possible to improve a preventing effect of generation of an electric wave noise at a time of spark discharge and to reduce wear of the center carbon.
