Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase treating capacity of the oil purifying machine or to enhance separation effect by a method wherein an oil to be purified is heated to a specific temp. or more to be introduced into the oil purifying machine and the operation thereof is carried out by using a working fluid having a b.p. higher than or equal to the heating temp. of the oil.

CONSTITUTION: An oil to be treated warmed by a steam coil 24 in a tank 17 is sent to an oil heater 20 by a pump 23 to be heated to 100°C or higher and introduced into the oil purifying machine 25 through a flow meter F1 and the purified oil is introduced into an auxiliary tank 18 through an arranged pipe 27. On the other hand, a working fluid in a tank 19 is sent to an inlet pipe 29 of the purifying machine by a pressure raising pump 22 and the discharged working fluid is returned into the tank 19 from a discharged pipe 30 to be recirculated for reuse and a solid substance accumulated in the working fluid is removed by a filter device 21. As described above, in enhancing treating capacity or separation capacity of the purifying machine 25 by heating the oil to be treated, the working fluid is replaced from the conventional water to a working fluid having a b.p. higher than or equal to the heating temp. of the oil.
