Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the generation of a ghost and to separate a transfer material electrostatically, by exposing the entire surface of a photoreceptor to light, which contains no spectrum component fatiguing the photoreceptor substantially, between a development and a transfer part. CONSTITUTION:Between a developing device 4 and a transfer electrode 6, an entire-surface exposure part 5 is composed of a light source 51 and a blue filter 52 provided on its front surface. As exposure is performed by the entire-surface exposure part 5, electrostatic power on the surface of a photoreceptor disappears and during next copying operation, no ghost is generated. Although the transfer electrode 6 performs transfer to a photosensitive drum 1 from which surface charge is removed, copying paper is adsorbed electrostatically to the drum 1, so the transfer electrode 7 neutralizes the copying paper, which separates from the drum 1.
