Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a powder molding having a dissimilar diameter body by disassembling and assembling dies of plural die pieces by vertical movement of operating rods in pressure molding of the molding having a budlge in the body part from raw powder meterials. CONSTITUTION:Dies 1 are constituted of plural die pieces 1', and a molding chamber 1a of a molding having a body part of a dissimilar diameter when combined and guide holes 1b, 1c for upper, lower punches 2, 3 are formed. The dies 1 are of a circular truncated cone shape of which the top end is larger in diameter, and these dies are fitted into the tapered opening part 4a of an outside shell 4. Raw powder materials of ceramics, metal, etc. are packed in the chamber 1a, and are pressed with the punch 2 to produce a molding G. Next, the operating rods 5 mounted to the die pieces 1' of the dies 1 are forced upward by moving an annular ram 6 upward to force the die pieces 1' upward, and disassemble them along the tapered opening part 4a, thence the molding G is removed. Next, the ram 6 is again lowered to assemble the disassembled die pieces 1' and to form the dies 1, thence the next molding work is started.
