CONSTITUTION: In an ilmenite type coated electrode, a raw material of the composition of 15W25% SiO2, 10W40% TiO2, 7W25% metallic carbonate such as CaCO3, 2W10% org. material, 3W20% Fe2O3, 9W18% Si, Mn, Al, etc. as a deoxidizing agent, 3W8% Al2O3, and 20W55% iron powder and 74W250μ grain size distributions is used for the coating material. As the steel core, the one contg. ≥300ppm oxygen and ≥20ppm nitrogen is used, and single substances of rare earth metals such as Ce, La, Y, Lu, or the like or their compounds of the amt. expressed by the equation[I]are contained in the coating material or core.
