Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the ceramic material having excellent electric and ceramic efficiencies by a method wherein the mixing quantity of ZrO2 is restricted and a ball made of ZrO2 is used as a medium to be used for a vibrating mill when the three-ingredient solid solution ceramic material, consisting of PbMgNbO3, PbZrO3 and the like having the prescribed composition, is pulverized into power after it is uniformly mixed up and calcination is performed. CONSTITUTION:In order to give ceramic characteristics to three-ingredient solid solution ceramic material consisting of Pb(A NB )O3-PbTiO3-PbZrO3 (A represents Mg or Sn), the prescribed raw materials are measured accurately and are uniformly mixed up, and they are dried up completely. Then, the above are calcinated at the temperature of 900-1,200 deg.C and pulverized into powder using the vibrating mill. As a medium which will be used for the mill, the ball made of oxidized zirconium of 12.5mm. in diameter and 5.5 in specific gravity is used and the pulverizing process is performed in such a short period of time as one hour or thereabouts. Through these procedures, the mixing quantity of ZrO2 from the ball can be reduced to below 0.15wt%, enabling to stabilize the efficiency of the ceramic material.
