Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a rod shape broach with ease by binding diamond powder with use of glass powder of softening temperature of 400W600°C as a binder.
CONSTITUTION: The composition of a glass used for a binder is consisting of lead oxide 37W62%, arsenic oxide 17W41%, the total of lead oxide and arsenic oxide 73% or more, silicon dioxide 13W22%, alkali 2.5W5.5% and zinc oxide 4.0% or less. The equal amount of the binder glass powder and diamond powder are mixed fully, a small amount of which being placed on the stainless plate heated at 550W 700°C, softening the powder to make a small massive shape as mixing by a stainless spatura to produced a lump and form a fixed size rod by rolling quickly the uniform lump with the spatura.
