Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a color copying image faithful to an original in keeping the balance, by setting and operating electric potential of a latent image which corresponds to the respective color resolution filters. CONSTITUTION:The light image of a scanning original is transmitted through a lens 11, mirror 13, color resolution device 15 and mirror 17 and then, it is formed an image on the surface of the sensitive material of a sensitive drum 1 after passing through the second charger 19. The color resolution unit 15 consists of a blue filter 15B, green filter 15G, red filter 15R and ND filter 15N corresponding to each color to be resolved. These filters are turned and switched to resolve the light into color. Strength of an electrostatic latent image, i.e. electrostatic potential is detected by using a probe 43 of an electrometer located near the surface of the drum 1 and between the whole surface exposure lamp 39 and a developing device 41.
